My name is Waynette and Arkansas is my home. I was raised as an Air Force Brat – living in Texas, Maryland, Arkansas and Germany. Growing up, my parents would take my brother and I on long driving vacations – driving from Texas and Maryland – back to Arkansas to see our extended family. I think it was my traveling days as a child – watching the world move by me through the backseat window – I began my love of adventure. Still some of the diners, state parks, hiking trails and shopping are fresh in my mind. Diners with white dishes take me back to traveling with my parents. Maybe that is why I have a cupboard full of white dishes now. This site is going to be my adventures through Arkansas with my family and friends. It will be a place to find something different to do in Arkansas. If I could hike and explore this beautiful state everyday and shout the adventures to the world to know – I would do in a heartbeat. My day job is magazine designer for Little Rock Family but on the weekends and my vacation days – I get to adventure Arkansas.

And on the weekends I can’t explore – I am a children’s portrait photographer.

Brian Cormack is contributor to my blog. I have begged his for his bio and we stumble on what to say. I will will guide you to his web site.  You can see his beautiful Arkansas nature photography. His site is designed to purchase some of the images too. I am going to get a bio out of him yet.

My name is Windy Richardson. I currently live in West Little Rock. I’ve spent almost my whole life in Central Arkansas bouncing between Jacksonville, Vilonia, Conway, and Little Rock. I have a Master’s from UCA in Mathematic Education. (I don’t use my degree. Isn’t that what everyone says?) I was the typical kid and teenager that hated the state. As I’ve grown up and developed more of a sense for what I like to do, I’ve really grown the love this state.

Little Rock provides enough cultural events, restaurants, and shopping to keep me happy. Plus I love that nature is just a short drive away. I really believe we have the best of both worlds in this state, and I’m trying my hardest to promote it to people I know. I highly encourage everyone to take advantage of all the new things happening in Little Rock. We are lucky to witness Little Rock growing in a positive direction. I joke about being a tourist of my own state, because I’m always game for going somewhere I haven’t been or doing something I have done. Who cares if you get lost? You just might find something else just as good!

I have a few passions. I love writing, photography, and supporting my local economy. One thing you don’t want to get me started on in local vs. chain restaurants. I could talk your ear off. There isn’t much else to say about me other than I always manage to get myself into a mess – usually a funny mess! I tend to add the stories of my misadventures in my writing.
